Do you or your kid/s play any instrument? If so, feel free to bring it on. You will have chances to play and you will also have local musicians around so you can ask them about their techniques. If not, don’t worry: the workshops and the dances are designed for everybody.

This is the general schedule for Folk Camp Spain 2022
Welcome! From the afternoon, our team will be ready to receive you personally. In the early evening we will have dinner and, after, Vigüela will offer a very special concert in which you’ll learn in a relaxed and amusing mood, the basics about this music and the frame in which it is developed.
In the morning, you can attend two workshops / participative shows for kids and parents. Take advantage of the workshops to learn the basics in order to be able to participate tonight in the dance night!
In the afternoon, after a little siesta, we will get amazed by the tradition of cant d’estil, in which the versaor creates the lyrics, in real time, and the cantaor sings them. Do you want to try? We will help you to create your own lyrics!
And in the evening, Apa and his musicians, together with Vigüela, will play for dance. We will help you to be able to follow the basic steps of jota, for you to be active part of the popular party!
From 10 am to 1 pm, you can join our workshops.
In the early afternoon, after a little siesta, we will have a concert by a brass band. Did you know that Valencia is the land of the 2000 bands? Yeeeees! There is a huge tradition here and all the ages get involved in the performance of music. Note that we have the tradition of the parades of the Moorish and Christians, for which dozens of compositions are done every year.
And after dinner we will end the day with a concert by Vigüela, in which you will be able to dance again. What fun it will be!
Time to pack and return home. Our kids zone will be open during the morning.
We will farewell you, wishing to see you again next year!
