Josep Aparicio ‘Apa’ is a phenomenon of Valencian music. After 40 years in music, he still combines it with his work as an electrician in Godella (Valencia). He does not like to be far from the Valencian countryside, where the cant de batre (harvest songs) was born. Apa’ has a privileged voice, but his charm lies in the fact that he has always been close to the people: we can see him perform in Valencia’s main theatres, but also in a self-managed social center; he also doesn’t hide when asked to sing in a bar.
